Tournament Match Submission - Owner Guide
Accessing Notifications
- Go to your tournament dashboard
- Look for the "Notifications" section
- You'll see pending submissions with real-time updates
- Each notification shows:
Team A vs Team Bformat
Understanding Submission Types
🟡 Partial (One Team Submitted)
- Only one team has submitted results
- Shows submitted scores and evidence from that team
- You can approve immediately or wait for the other team
🟢 Complete & Matching (Both Teams, Same Scores)
- Both teams submitted identical results
- Flagged as "Auto-approvable"
- Quick approval recommended
🔴 Conflicted (Both Teams, Different Scores)
- Teams submitted different results
- Requires your decision on which is correct
- Side-by-side comparison interface provided
Reviewing Submissions
Click on any notification to open the comparison modal:

What to Look For:
- Screenshots match final scores
- Consistent player names and teams
- AI confidence scores (higher = more reliable)
- Clear, unedited evidence
Taking Action
Approving
- Matching submissions: Click "Approve"
- Conflicted submissions: Select which submission is correct → "Approve"
- Single submissions: Review evidence → "Approve" if satisfied
Rejecting
- Click "Reject"
- Must provide reason (sent to both teams)
- Examples: "Screenshot shows 2-1, not 3-1 as submitted"
Modifying (Advanced)
- Click "Modify" to edit submission before approval
- Useful for minor corrections or additional player stats
What Happens After Approval
- Match status → "completed"
- Tournament bracket updates automatically
- Both teams get approval notification
- Tournament progression advances (if applicable)
- Team statistics updated
Behind the Scenes
The system creates an aggregation entry in tournament_match_submissions:
- Links both team submissions when available
- Auto-detects matching vs conflicting results
- Tracks approval/rejection status
- Maintains complete audit trail
